RAPHAËL DAIRON - @raphael_dairon
Raphaël Dairon is a French illustrator who graduated in 2012 with a European master's degree at the ESAG Penninghen graphic art school. He quickly moved to Montreal (his hometown). At that moment, a real passion for street art, particularly mural art, developed.
He made his first steps in this field through murals and exhibitions with the Fresh Paint gallery and by participating several times in their street art festival Under Pressure. Working as artistic director for the NPO Fusion Jeunesse, he also carries out several illustration assignments in events with the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Ancient Future Festival and the RIDM to name a few. Self-employed since the beginning of 2022, he now devotes himself 100% to illustration, painting and mural art.
PROJECT: ELECTRIC DREAMS
This series is composed of several works (digital, canvas and plywood) Cables, omnipresent in this series and in most of Mr. Roboto's works, are the materialization of links and connections between human beings. Comparable to the roots of a tree or the veins of a body, we can see them extending through space in order to recreate a new form of life. This organic and mechanical mixture is in fact a movement of life. The cables coming out of the frame remind the robots, although they have imitated our image to perfection, that they are still prisoners of their own condition.
